Is it safe to say that every would-be minimalist has a vice? Maybe just me? Bueller? Bueller? Needless to say, my vice is shoes. Oh, yeah. Big time.

I’m happy to say that I’m working on it, though and have whittled down my summer shoe wardrobe to 3 pairs of shoes. This shoe edit falls in between fulfilling the need to shop consciously and using pairs of shoes that I already own. Hopefully, it’ll provide some info/inspiration!

Madewell Warren Sandal Madwell Sandal Detail

Madewell Warren Sandal – These neutral sandals are equally as versatile as they are stylish. Made from tanned leather, they look adorable with everything from palazzo pants to chiffon dresses! I actually purchased these sandals last year, before I embarked on my conscious consumption journey. With that said, I would prefer if these sandals were made domestically/ethically/consciously. However, given their quality, I’m certain I can get a few more seasons out of them. Check them out here.

American Apparel Sneaker American Apparel Sneaker Detail

American Apparel Sneakers – Can you believe I got these puppies for $15?! Made in the USA, these white canvas sneakers are both classic and versatile. Do they get dirty? You bet your stars and garters they do! However, with a brush, laundry detergent, a little elbow grease, and some sunshine, they’ll look squeaky clean, jelly bean. Barneys Slingback Sandals

Barney’s Warehouse Slingback Sandals – These slingback sandals are great for day as well as night. I purchased these shoes in the spring, and I’m sure they’ll take me into fall. I like that they’re a bit edgy and the leather on these shoes is impossibly buttery. And the best thing? They’re made in Italy, so the craftsmanship is impeccable. I believe they come in a few different colors, too! If you dare, click here.
